100WC - Week #48 - Kenneth

 There I was, stuck on an iceberg, waves tingling. Cold shivering throughout my body, I only had a split second to make it, but I was distracted. Waves of cold water thrashed against my iceberg, I never thought looking for fish in the water would end up like this. I stood there, paralyzed at the thought of being lost at sea. Would I ever get to see my babies back at home? I put those thoughts aside, I used as much force as I could to swerve the iceberg around. I spin around to see my beautiful babies at land.

100WC - Week #44 - Kenneth Collins

I stare out into the vast waves of heads, this is my moment. If I muck up, I’ll be embarrassed for the rest of my life. Known as Jack, the clown. I take a deep breath, and step out. The crowd goes silent, I make the performance. But then I fell over onto the stage, then the crowd erupted with laughter. I was a laughing stock, everyone was crying tears of laughter. That day stayed with me my whole life, I still have flashbacks of that day. The sounds of everyone making fun of me. I was Jack the clown.               

100WC - Week #43 - Kenneth

We look around, we have all gathered here. To witness it, the destructive device that would ruin it all. We sat there in silence, then it began. Fireballs coming from outer space started forcing their way through the atmosphere. We came prepared, we got in the doomsday bunker and ran. Only to find our supplies to have been stolen. “This is alright, I’m sure our plant’s are still alive and growing.” said the Commander, all calming us down. We sat down near the window, sinking in that this will be our normal life now. And that it will never change.

100WC - Week #40 - Kenneth

When I was out and about in the cold abandoned forest, my friends said there was a creature named Siren Head. At first I didn’t believe it. So I invited my friends, I was giving them a speech about how monsters aren’t real but they kept saying turn around, thinking they were joking. I carried on with my speech. The following hours was just sticks crunching. Then I heard a Siren. As loud as the ones on those police cars. I turned around, and then I saw it. 

100WC - Week #39 - Kenneth

I was just standing there, fixing my broken down car. When I realized there was a polar bear just standing there right in front of my eyes. I was worried that it was going to attack. But then it looked kinda friendly. I waved to it, and it tilted it’s head. I thought it was confused till it waved back. I thought he was mimicking me so I started doing funny tricks. Doing a handstand, and believe me I thought he wasn’t going to do it. But, he flipped over on his hands and stood there frozen in the air.

The Labyrinth

The big loud thudding footsteps urged me to run, but I knew I had to wait. I heard the gunshot. That’s when I knew I should run, I felt the creature's hot breath touching my back. I wouldn’t dare turn around. Because I knew it would cost my life. I shot down the long maze and I got caught in a dead end, I looked around looking for an escape. I found a little hole I could hide in. I heard the loud footsteps getting quieter. I channeled my energy and focused on one thing. To make it out alive.

100WC - Week #26 - Kenneth

They were positioned very specifically, almost like they were preparing for an occasion. I looked at every single one of them. Each had their own symbolic sign. It looked like Egyptian writing but we couldn’t tell. I walked up to the one in front. Then I was consumed by this huge portal, I saw the statues turning into humans. I saw a cannonball fall on a soldier. I take a breath, and realise. I WAS IN WAR! I heard a soldier yell, “GET DOWN!” 

I realise I went back in time.

100WC - Week #25 - Kenneth

It had damaged one of the five generators. I didn’t know what to do and where to go. I take a quick scan of my surroundings. I quickly jumped over the window frame. My heart was beating faster than a cheetah could run. Knowing the strange creature behind me, would easily tear me apart in seconds. I had to fix all of the five generators in total to escape from this vast wasteland. I looked in my stash, I found a banana that had heavy black spots on it, I ate it.  A message appeared on the screen. “YOU DIED!"

100WC - Week #24 - Kenneth

We were entering war for the first time . We were walking sneakily till the Commander yelled. “AMBUSH! RUN.” Suddenly KABOOM! That was the last thing we had heard before the explosion. “Hello?, is anyone there.” I said. There was no response. I carefully looked down at the old broken bridge. There was a soldier holding onto the bridge for his life. He wouldn’t say a word. He looked as shocked as a man being tasered. “Don’t let go.” I said very clearly.
“I’m trying to hold on.” he shouted as if he was a mile away.
I drag him up and we duck behind the sandbags.   

                     

100WC - Week #22 - Kenneth

There I was, the door in front of me. I push it a bit open, I hear a slight creek. “No one’s here.” I thought. I entered the house, hoping to stay far away from the outdoors wilderness. I looked in a room, all I saw was dust. Until I noticed a painting… But it's me and my family. I exit the room worried. BANG! Someone kicked down the door, I ran into a nearby room and was fortunate enough to find a bed. I decided to hide underneath the bed protecting me from whoever is lurking in this house...

100WC - Week #20 - Kenneth

While going on a trip in the Safari, I encountered a huge type of Bird. Possibly an eagle. But as it flew towards us I couldn’t see what it was. All I saw was a long sharp talon. When I woke up, I was horrified at the mess it had made. Clothes everywhere, dirty and ripped. People unconscious, at least I hoped. All the animals were gone. I wondered what this creature was, and where It’s hiding. I tried to remember what I saw, but all that was stuck in my mind. Was It’s terrible screech, and It’s long sharp talons.

I was rushing to the stores. Hoping to find a present fit for my parents. I searched and searched, but although it was Saturday nothing was open. I felt anxious inside. Knowing the consequences for what was going to happen. I searched around, and I saw an open shop. I decided to check for any presents that my parents would like. But when I looked in the shop, all I saw were expensive watches. I thought about stealing the watch and just leaving. But there were many other choices, that didn’t require me getting in trouble.
