The Phone Call
It was 1941. The time of World War 2. I was in my home built out of wood and metal. I was old, tired and lonely. I had been sitting on my big rocking chair when the phone rang. I answered it. It was my old General. “YOU NEED TO COME BACK INTO THE FIELD.” He yelled
“Why would i do that? I am retired.”
“BECAUSE YOUR COUNTRY DEPENDS ON IT.” Just then I realised a plane was flying past and a bomb dropped out. I got on the phone. "Okay" I said "but i need the best men you have.
